Exposición Dalí. Litografías de los excesos pantagruélicos

By fundacionbancaja.es

Visitors have until 28 March to discover some of Dalís most unknown art at the Bancaja Foundation in Valencia.

The exhibition offers a sample of Salvador Dalí’s graphic work inspired by the literary work “Gargantúa y Pantagruel” written by François Rabelais in the sixteenth century.

The exhibition brings to the public one of Dalí’s lesser-known facets, that of an illustrator, with a series of 25 lithographs on Japanese paper showing a selection of unusual and fantastic characters depicted between caricature and farce.

The exhibition also brings together documents, objects, press clippings, the reproduction of some images and publications and three audiovisuals about Salvador Dalí, which place this work in the artist’s personal context.
